Artie has been adopted! 07-12-2008

Female about 0 old.

Good things come in EXTRA LARGE packages with Artie. This guy is a big lover and has lots of kisses to give, he's also learning to experience the joys of sharing a home. The stairs and tile floors are puzzling for Artie, which sounds like he was an outdoor dog most of his life with not a lot of exposure to much more than a backyard. His foster parents say when he walks on new surfaces…he looks like he's walking on the moon. After a couple of days, he's planting his feet a little more firmly and relishing the comforts of the couch, a fluffy new dog bed and lots of walks by the harbor!!!!

Artie loves making friends and was great with a group of neighborhood kids -. Artie is mastering walking on a leash and he seems to be potty trained. He's animal friendly, but possibly a bit too excited about meeting cats. This big teddy bear of a shepherd would be thrilled to be part of a loving family with a soft dog bed to call his very own. He loves to be out with his foster parents, walking along the harbor, visiting in the neighborhood.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
