Mable has been adopted! 07-25-2009
Mable is 7 - 8 years old and was returned to a county animal shelter due to an ear infection. Her owners refused to treat and instead left her fate in the hands of an already impacted county shelter system. Mable is 80 lbs and loves other dogs. This lovely older gal was networked through the LA rescue community, several adopters and donors pulled together to save her Please check back shortly for more information and photos! Mable is still in our boarding facility and would love a warm bed to sleep on. She loves going for walks and is very easy to lead. She is probably housebroken as she avoids soiling in her run and would prefer to wait to for her walk to take care of business. This easy going girl only asks for a little love and she promises to give it back to you ten-fold.
Mabel is now in a foster home. She is enjoying daily walks with her foster mom and is a perfect lady on the leash. She is adjusting to her new surroundings and loves hanging out with her foster mom. She is comfortable in a crate and will often walk into it when she needs a nap. More updates to come as she continues to settle in.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
