Ingrid has been adopted! 08-14-2010
At about 2 years old, Ingrid found herself homeless and pregnant on the fierce streets of Mexico. Luckily, she was rescued by a group in Mexico that is trying to spay and neuter street dogs and find homes for many of them. This grass roots group is amazing and we have rescued dogs with them in the past. Ingrid got lucky when she came into the hands of Aida and her group. Her puppies were raised and all were placed in great homes! It was now Ingrid's turn to find happiness, we agreed to bring Ingrid over the border and find her a home here in CA. Ingrid is now in our "training pack" and spends her days living with our caretaker and trainer. She is a role model for other dogs who are not as well balanced. She is a steady girl who will do great in a new home--she will take with her all that she has learned while living with Zack (our caregiver and trainer).
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
