Starr has been adopted! 07-23-2011
Starr and her sisters were thrown out like yesterdays garbage. They were found boarded up in half of a vari kennel with no way out. A passerbyer heard the whimpering and called animal control. We were fortunate enough to take them into our care on a moments notice. Now safe and sound in foster care, the girls are receiving the love and attention they need and deserve. They were probably outdoors from the day they were born as they were covered in fleas in ticks. After a lengthy cleaning session, these girls are blossoming into the happy puppies they were meant to be. We presume these pups have had little contact with people up until now, but they are quickly learning how wonderful it is. It is truly a rewarding experience to watch them come full circle.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
