Shemma has been adopted! 10-16-2010
Shemma is one of the 5 puppies dumped in the high kill shelter. She is the smallest of all but the most dominant. At only 4-5 months of age she already has shown her protective side when the doorbell rings. She has been with me only one week and I must admit she was quite shy and untrusting when she arrived. Within just a few days of being here she has come to love her big boy foster brothers and even the bird. She is 99.9% potty trained and has only had an accident if startled or if I have forgotten to leave the slider open. She is 100% crate trained and sleeps through the night with no issues. She loves loves, loves her toys and has learned to be a pup, and play like a pup. She is easily corrected if she happens to get into mischief as pups will do. She is surprisingly well behaved for a puppy of her young age. She is a total cuddle bug and a joy to have around. Please contact sbgarcia2002@yahoo.com if you are interested in meeting Shemma (aka Emma).
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
