Coastal German Shepherd Rescue

Emily is available ( Updated 06-22-2018 )

Female German Shepherd Dog about 3-5 years old. Good with kids. Gets along with other dogs. Not cat friendly.

Emily is a 4 year old German Shepherd who weighs approx. 70 lbs. She’s great with people (kids included), housebroken, crate trained, obedience trained, spayed, utd on shots, microchipped, and is large dog friendly but can be selective. Emily is looking for a home with GSD experience, because, if allowed, she will run the show.

While Emily has lived with both female and male dogs, we believe she would do best living with large male dogs who are submissive. No small animals and no female dogs please.

Emily has a condition known as Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI) which means without added enzymes to her food (prescription GI low fat food) each meal her body won’t digest the food and nutrients properly. Along with the enzymes, Emily also gets a B12 injection once a week.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $300 and the adoption donation for puppies is $400 - $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
