Thor is available ( Updated 05-21-2018 )
Thor came to us with kennel cough, which quickly turned into pneumonia. He was hospitalized, but has since been cleared and released. He's astonishingly handsome, learns new things quickly, looks for a leader, and is just trying to figure out the world around him. He's good on a leash, knows his basic commands, and is less scared of new things every day. He doesn't appear to have been socialized with other dogs prior to his rescue, but barely reacts now when he sees other dogs on walks (and rarely ever barks, except when it's a small dog who is being crazy).
Thor was picked up as a stray by animal control and his shelter paperwork lists him as 1 years old. We think he's more like 7-10 months old, though, judging by his teeth, behavior, and demeanor.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $300 and the adoption donation for puppies is $400 - $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
