Marley is available ( Updated 05-21-2018 )
We received a call about a young GSD who was picked up as stray after being hit by a car. She was wearing a chain & padlock around her neck and had a fractured leg, as well as abdominal swelling. She's very sweet and required immediate medical treatment, so she needed a rescue commitment right then and there.
Only around 1-2 years old, she has her whole life ahead of her and being hit by a car shouldn't be a death sentence. We couldn't say no, so she was taken to our vet and is now recovering in a foster home, displaying what an absolute sweetheart of a GSD she is even with all that's happened to her. A new name for a new life: she's now known as Marley.
This beauty is great with people, older kids, loves her toys, and is food motivated. We are looking for a foster or forever home for Marley. If you are in the OC area and would consider opening your home to a dog in need of crate rest, she would greatly appreciate it!
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $300 and the adoption donation for puppies is $400 - $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
