Female German Shepherd Dog /Belgian Shepherd Malinois mix about 1-2 years old. Good with kids. Not cat friendly. Homes with no other dogs.

Hi, I’m Luna.

I’m from Ventura County and was raised on a ranch with space to run - which explains the “fly strikes” on my ears. I was not allowed indoors. I was found as a stray and turned in to the local animal shelter just five days before I gave birth to ten beautiful puppies. All of my puppies are in great homes and now I'm hoping for a home of my own.

The man who found me, and turned me in to the shelter, said he heard gunshots when he saw me and thought they were meant for me. So for my own safety, he turned me in. No one ever came to claim me so, thankfully, Coastal GSR came to my and my puppies’ rescue and has taken care of me ever since.

I have a ‘mom’ up in Simi Valley, who helped me raise my puppies. She would have loved to have kept me but the shepherd she already had didn’t want me around and to tell you the truth, I would prefer to be the only dog.

I am a loyal and very smart dog. Once our bond is established, I will be your close and faithful friend. I have been around children but not the very young ones. I would do best around older children. Please take me home and give me a chance. You will see that once you do, you won't be to live without me!

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $300 and the adoption donation for puppies is $400 - $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
