Expo and Brea has been adopted! 01-01-2005

Female about 0 old.

This morning, two of our daring and intrepid volunteers ventured deep into South Central LA to rescue two stray GSD pups dumped a few days ago. According to them, all the drug
dealers stood up and cheered and clapped as they caught the dogs and led them away. These are two gorgeous pups, classic coloring -
a male & female most likely under 12 mos old. The homeless guys watched a kid take their leashes off and run out of the park.
The boy's name is Expo and the girl's name is Brea. The park is at the corner of La Brea & Exposition (get it?).

Update: July 20th

It is a complete mystery as to why Expo and Brea were abandoned and left to such an uncertain future. When they were taken out of the park, one of the men who was homeless stopped our volunteer and told them that these two dogs deserved a good home and that they deserved to be saved. This brought tears to the eyes of our volunteers at the time and still does considering how true this statement was.

Expo and Brea are the most deserving of dogs! They only want to be loved and given affection. This pair has settled into their foster home but are hoping for a permanant place to call home. They are housebroken and have impeccable manners. Brea (the female) is the leader of the two and keeps Expo (the male) in line. They get along wonderfully with other dogs, cats and a toddler. This dynamic duo would definitely prefer a home together and we are holding out hope that we can make this dream a reality for them!

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
